Head of Sports (Korea)

We are looking for a Head of Sports (Korea) to join our team.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the sports betting vertical tailored to the Korean market;
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth;
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure the sports betting product meets the expectations of Japanese customers;
  • Lead localization efforts, including language, cultural preferences, and sports offerings unique to the region;
  • Develop strategies to enhance user experience, ensuring seamless navigation and satisfaction;
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure team success;
  • Set targets, and monitor financial performance;
  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior management.

Essential professional experience:

  • Proven success in the Korean iGaming or sports betting market, with a deep understanding of local user behavior, regulatory landscape, and popular sports events such as K-League, baseball (KBO), and eSports;
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in managing sports betting operations, product strategy, or regional market expansion within a high-growth gaming or entertainment company;
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, content, and trading, with a focus on performance management, strategic alignment, and operational excellence;
  • Strong track record in analyzing competitor products and market trends to develop winning strategies and identify opportunities for growth and innovation;
  • Hands-on experience with localization processes, including Korean language adaptation, cultural alignment of UI/UX, and market-relevant sports content curation;
  • Effective communicator and strategic thinker, able to present insights to executive leadership and influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations.
